Restaurants with views of the Alhambra
Granada has many attractions, inluding the tapas bars and the Realejo and Albaicín neighbourhoods and the historic centre with its Renaissance and Gothic architecture. Every corner in Granada reflects the city's fascinating and tumultuos past, but nothing captures the true essence of Granada like the Alhambra. It seems the entire city revolves around this Nasrid Palace and both tourists and locals alike are forever trying to get a fresh perspective of the Alhambra when they are wandering around the Albaicín. For a truly unique experience in Granada we recommend eating out at the following restaurants where not only will you enjoy some typical local cuisine but also unrivalled views of the Alhambra.
Enjoy a Unique Dining Experience in Granada
Carmen Mirador de Aixa: In the heart of the Albaicín close to the Mirador de San Nicolas you will find this great restaurant. Housed in an enormous Carmen, a typical Granda house, this restaurant offers spectacular views of the Alhambra. The restaurant has several terraces (covered in winter) where you can enjoy typical Granada and Mediterranean cuisine with a modern touch. The Cod Carpaccio and Beef Fillet with Sweet Sherry Sauce are simply devine and the location under the stars with the Alhambra lit up across the valley is simply unbeatable.
Tomasas Restaurant: You get a stunning view of the Alhambra from this restaurant, thanks to its excellent location. Featuring several terraces plus a large interior dining area the restaurant has been organised to make sure visitors get an unobstructed view of the Alhambra. Diners can enjoy the delicious starters and mains from the seasonaly changing menu, choose from the extensive wine list and revel in the excellent service provided by the friendly staff. This is a really good place to try a typical Andalusian menu in a unique and historic setting overlooking the Alhambra.
Morayma Restaurant: Situated in another historic Carmen in the Albaicin neighbourhood this restaurant in Granada has several terraces from where you can admire the Alhambra framed by the snow capped Sierra Nevada Mountains. The menu features typical Albaicin dishes such as the famous tortilla de Sacromonte (we won’t tell you what’s in it….), lamb chops, Albaicin beef, cod with oranges, and Pipirrana (onion, tomato, green pepper and cucumber salad). The menu on offer could not be more typical Andalusian!
