The Fair organised by the Fira de Barcelona and the Flaqué Internacional in Palacio 1 in the Montjuic grounds, and which has been defined as “a fusion of avant-garde and milenial” was set up as an unmissable meeting point for professionals, art collectors, and people that love classic and contemporary art work, or Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Asian archaeological pieces. Thus, Napoleonic treasures will be combined with works from Picasso, Dalí, Sorolla, Barceló, Miró, Zao Wou-ku, Plensa, Valdés, Tàpies, Balthus, Sam Francis, Prouvé, Motherwell, Botero, Puig i Cadaflch, and Gaudí.
Thus, the fair will comprise paintings, engravings, lithographs, sketches, sculptures, decorative art, high-end jewellery, upholstery, furnishing from different times and styles, Etruscan pieces, ceramic, porcelain, ivory, bronze, and glass art, carvings, bibliographic treasures, and numismatics. Some of the oldest pieces include 6,000 year old Greek ceramic art, sculptures from Imperial Rome, terracotta from the Tang Dynasty in China, pictorial treasures from Zurbarán, Art Nouveau pieces, and modernist art.
An ancient Egyptian tomb door, a compilation of Russian and Greek iconography, a coffer by the Spanish architects Josep Puig i Cadafalch, baroque and gothic Catalan, Italian, Mallorca, and modernist furnishing, a bust dating back from 1891 from the author of the ceramic ornamentation in the Palau de la Música, masks, African sculptures, and paintings from Bathus are also included in the catalogue in this Art and Antiques Fair.
