This is the second edition of Barcelona Opportunity Week, a pioneering initiative to liven up the city at this time of year when there isn’t as much going on. It all started three years ago with Restaurant Week, inspired by a typical New York event. However, last year Barcelona decided to extend what was on offer and to various establishments; hotels, concert halls, cinemas, theatre, museums…
After it’s first very successful edition, this Barcelona Opportunity Week 2012, up to 20% more companies will be participating and many of them will be donating part of the proceeds to charities. A great reason to join in!
In the Culture section, 22 cinemas are offering 2 for 1 deals on Tuesday the 31st of January and Thursday the 2nd of February. Theatres and concert halls will also be offering 2 for 1 deals and some juicy discounts, and various museums, art galleries and cultural institutions such as the Liceu and Palau de la Musica will be offering discounts and free entrance with guided tours. The insanity of it all!
In addition, each of the 16 participating food markets will be putting three products on offer, indicated by a yellow tag. Up to 35 florists will also be selling bunches of flowers for 11 euro so you can surprise your partner or the one you love.
And if Barcelona is a bit of a stretch for you, Spanair is offering 20% discounts on direct national and international flights to Barcelona.
