Cirque du Soleil in Barcelona this 2010
Cirque du Soleil, comprising a dramatic mix of circus arts and street entertainment, will be returning to Barcelona this autumn from the 5th of November to the 5th of December as part of their Varekai European tour.
The world famous circus that by no means needs an introduction will be stopping off in Barcelona for an entire fabulous and delicious month for all you circus fans out there lucky enough to be in this exciting city this autumn, and will be performing under the White Big Top in Plataform Zoo Marino. The theme for their current tour is Varekai meaning “Everywhere” in the Romany language of the gypsies the universal wanderers. “Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world, a world where something else is possible-A world called Varekai. A captivating forest inhabited by whimsical creatures and enchanted creatures” ……just to give you an idea of the theme of their current tour.
This Quebec based company recognised the world over for high-quality artistic entertainment has over 4000 performers and 100 artists, have performed to over 100 million spectators, and have visited over 250 different cities in the world since they began in 1984. This year they will be presenting 20 different shows around the world.
Tickets are on sale as we speak for performances starting on the 5th of November in Barcelona and prices range from approximately 35 euros to 195, with generous concessions for children and seniors, which can be purchased on their websites. There are further performances from Cirque du Soleil in Barcelona at the end of December as part of their Saltimbanco tour so if you miss the chance to see their impressive performances in November, you’ll have another chance to admire the extraordinary skills and talent of the Cirque du Soleil cast in their show taking place at Christmas. In addition, they will be stopping off in Madrid and Seville in the near future as part of their Corteo Euopean Tour. Dates have yet to be confirmed but we will keep you posted on these exciting events.
