Located in one of the most fashionable neighbourhoods in the city, Sant Antoni, it boasts an amazing selection of Argentinian pasties: vegetarian, spicy beef, cuttlefish, with or without cheese, and even sweet ones. Don’t leave without trying the irresistible apple-and-cinnamon one! For under €10 you get three pasties with salad and a drink. They also serve pizza, pasta and meat dishes as well.
Teatreneu: an excellent option for couples. Located in the bohemian neighbourhood of Gràcia. You can enjoy a night out at the theatre with dinner for a little over €20. It specialises in crêpes, tortillas, salads, bruschetta and pasta dishes. If you’re still hungry and want to order more, you’ll be pleased to hear that all the dishes on their menu cost €4.40. The venue and atmospheric music make for a perfect evening.
Buon Appetito: genuine Italian pizzas in an unbeatable location. Located right opposite the Estació de França railway station in Barcelona, it is the ideal spot to replenish yourself before or after a train journey. They serve a variety of pizzas mostly for under €10. They also serve salads, meat, pasta, risottos, Italian cold cuts and amazing desserts.
La esquinica: without a doubt one of the top tapas restaurants in Barcelona. Open since 1972, it is decorated in typical Aragonese style, with an amazing selection of tapas. You can enjoy fried baby squid, Galician-style octopus, gammon, cured ham from Teruel and its delicious patatas bravas, among many others! Located on Passeig de Fabra i Puig, very close to Virrei Amat, you can fill your boots without having to dig deep into your pockets!
La Porca: very close to Avinguda Paral·lel you’ll find this lovely restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious gourmet sandwich and drink for under €10! We recommend La Porca sandwich: 3-hour-roasted pork that melts in your mouth! The chicken and salmon sandwiches are also excellent, not to mention their homemade lemon tiramisu with sobaos pasiegos. A great discovery!
