Florence Artisanal Chocolate Fair 2013
Chocolate sweet chocolate, is there anyone who doesn’t enjoy the guilty pleasure of sinking their teeth into a piece of chocolate? In Florence they enjoy their handcrafted chocolate so much they decided to dedicate a fair to it: “Finalmente Ciocclato!” In 2013 this sweet fair will take place from the 8th to17th February in the monumental Piazza Santa Maria Novella, so if you are holidaying in Florence or celebrating Valentine’s Day in the Tuscan capital make sure you pay a visit.
This will be the ninth edition of the Florence Artisanal Chocolate Fair and will feature more than forty international exhibitors and chocolate artisans combining tradition, experience and innovation will present their best products in the hope of winning over the visitor’s palate. A world full of intense aromas, subtle blends, textures and shapes with only one protagonist: chocolate.
Besides enjoying what is commonly referred to as food of the Gods, the Florence Artisanal Chocolate Fair provides the opportunity to participate in workshops, cooking classes, talks and conferences by master chocolatiers, book presentations, blind tastings, games there is even special activities for children.
If this isn’t enough, the restaurants in the old quarter of the city also participate in the Florence Artisanal Chocolate Fair. In February all participating restaurants will have special dishes and menus for the occasion all featuring cacao as the star ingredient or cleverly turned into a seasoning to add a delicate flavour to dishes.
The stalls at the Florence Artisanal Chocolate Fair 2013 will be open from 10am to 10pm offering chocolate lovers the chance to appreciate cacao in an unimaginable variety of bonbons, truffles, pralines, artisanal chocolate and cups of steaming hot chocolate to fight off the winter chill.
