Bodegas Espadafor- Bull fighting posters, bottles of sherry and typical Andalus tiles adorn the walls of this famed tapas bar in Granada. Their specialty is the roast ham which you simply must try, follow it with delicious home- made croquetas or fried Aubergine. The atmosphere is incredible and the staff are very friendly. Bodegas Castañeda- A long wooden bar, barrels of wine, hanging hams and the omnipresent bulls head welcome visitors to this traditional tapas bar. It’s standing room only so the best thing to elbow your way to a table order a beer or a delicious glass of sherry and wait for the accompanying tapas, usually jamon and manchego cheese served on a crusty slice of bread. Bar Sevilla- Oozing with history this 80 year old tapas restaurant has seen the likes of Lorca, Falla, Manolete and Amaya plus many more international movie stars from the golden years of Hollywod. . The tapas are hearty and good value at only €2 and the range is enormous, if you want something more substantial just head next door or soak up the atmosphere on the huge outside dining area. Los Diamantes- If you want to order your tapas here forget it, simply order your drink and the tapas will come with it, the menu says tapas are a gift which you cannot choose or return to the kitchen. Just make sure you get in early or you’ll be fighting the locals for a table or a space at the bar. Where: Calle Navas, 26.
La Antigualla- Call in far a glass of wine or a beer and you’ll be surprised by the size and the quality of the accompanying sandwiches. Yes that’s right they break with tradition here and serve a delicious sandwich instead of the more traditional tapas. Simply ordering three drinks you can forget about ordering dinner for that night.
