Apartment of the week: City I-I apartment
Barcelona. This Mediterranean city surrounded by a warm sea, located right on the coast. However, winter has arrived and the city’s main attraction now seems temporarily brushed to the side whilst over the next few months our attention will be focused on those events talking place on the streets, in the concert halls, and theatres, as well as all the different kinds of associations that comprise the current cultural, artistic, and nightlife scene in Barcelona. In the end, Barcelona wouldn’t be the same without its jam-packed agenda. It is the reason for which is it still top tourist destination and is worth a visit.
Those visitors that would to like to do so, can not only enjoy its gothic, roman, and bourgeois architecture whilst walking down the street, or the numerous museums and contemporary and classic exhibitions, but also theatre productions, musicals, concerts, clubs, and bars etc. …..to summarise, everything that the daily agenda in Barcelona has to offer day and night making the Catalan capital appear as though it never sleeps.
And although the days are getting colder and colder, what we do know for certain is that the sun shines almost everyday, making Barcelona the perfect city for visiting and walking around. Therefore, there is nothing better than renting an apartment equipped with central heating, and all the amenities that you need to be able to relax whenever you want and feel at home.
One of the most unknown districts in Barcelona has to be Gracia, when it is one of most appreciated and well known districts by the locals. It is a bohemian and alternative area, where long term residents perfectly mix with those visitors that would like to get a taste of the most authentic Barcelona lifestyle far away from the tourist movement in the Gothic district. However, being less touristy doesn’t make it less interesting… anyone who wanders the narrow streets of Gracia will instantly fall in love with the abundance of small bars, cafés, and the most modern vintage and design shops lining the streets, in addition to the most bohemian young population that get together every day to thus form a very Barcelona melting pot.
If you would like to fall in love with the charming district of Gracia then we recommend you stay in the City I-I apartment, a perfect apartment for up to four people, whether they are family or friends. It has everything that you need to feel comfortable and relaxed, and let you release your most bohemian and Barcelona side. It also has a fully-fitted kitchen just in case you feel like rustling up some really authentic Catalan dishes that you will find in some of the shops in the area, and it has a perfect bathroom, and a living room equipped with a television and DVD player in case you feel like relaxing on the enormous sofa to then carry on with your wanderings around the bars in the area, which are always lively and full of young people. You can experience the most authentic Barcelona in the City I-I apartment and discover the most unique district in this Catalan city, Gracia. However, if you feel like making your way down to the Gothic district or other areas such as el Borne, el Raval, or the Ramblas, you will find a metro (underground) stop five minutes away from the apartment that you will leave you in the heart of the centre in a further five minutes.
The City I-I apartment is the perfect tourist apartment during your winter visit to Barcelona for its modernity, quality, comfort, and its location, being right in the heart of the Gracia district. Feel like a local in our apartment of the week, the City I-I apartment.
