Gay beaches in Puerto Vallarta
The day time activity for the gay community in Puerto Vallarta is centered around the world famous Playa de los Muertos, more concretely at the southern end. There are three gay beach clubs located along the white sand where lying under the suns warming rays, enjoying a tropical fruit cocktail and indulging in some people watching are the norm. Blue Chairs is the most popular and best known thanks to their blue chairs; just next to it is Ritmos Café with the characteristic green chairs and finally Club Lido with a classier atmosphere.
Gay clubs and bars in Puerto Vallarta
The majority of shops, spas, restaurants and gay bars in Puerto Vallarta are in the so called Zona Romantica, in the historic city centre. Most of them can be found around Olas Atlas and Lazaro Cardenas streets.
Just before the sun sets many of the gay bars open their doors such is the case with Apache’s Martini Bar, a great place to start off the night. The atmosphere at the bars Garbo and La Noche is a little more relaxed with the smooth sound of jazz playing in the background and a staggering amount of tequila based cocktails providing the fuel for the nights activities. For live shows then the place to go is The Palm.
Around midnight, strippers, go-go dancers and drag queens take to the dance floors of the local nightclubs. Dance until dawn at Anthropology, the legendary Club Paco Paco (now known as Paco’s Ranch) and Club Mañana.
