Autumn is the ideal time of year for visiting Granada and discovering the magic and charm of this old city. In addition to the warm colours and typical seasonal fruits such as chestnuts, persimmon and pomegranate, amongst many other activities and events, in October you will be able to enjoy the Hocus Pocus Magic Festival and the Granada Jazz Festival in November.

With a vibrant atmosphere and its overflowing Andalusian charm this is a great summer holiday destination for families, as well as if you’re are coming with a group of friends.
Granada is simply spectacular at this time of year especially for wandering around the Albaicín district whilst contemplating the Alhambra which rises majestically in red in contrast with the white of the Sierra Nevada in the backdrop. It is a stunningly beautiful thing to see in this enchanting city. Similarly, the cold from the Sierra Mountains contrasts with the sun that shines and lights up Granada thus allowing you to look at all the architecture dotted around the city centre, in Realejo, and in Albaicín.
Granada appears to be the ideal destination to spend a few days over Christmas whether it’s on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, or during King’s Day (The Epiphany) as the festive atmosphere in the city of the Alhambra is perfect for visitors coming to Christmas there.
