Ghost Bus Tours Halloween Special – the traditional bus route has been adapted in honour of this special day allowing brave travellers to admire haunted palaces, burial grounds and other spooky places in the capital. All this and more with onboard actors for a more authentic experience. Bookings for under 16’s made at parental discretion. Where: Designated bus stop on Northumberland Avenue (Charing Cross underground). When: October the 24th to the 31st at 6pm, 7.30pm, 9pm and 10.30pm. Price: £18; £12 concessions and under-16s.
Halloween Under The Sea – Something for the kids. A Halloween-themed tour of the Natural History Museum with a special peek at the world’s weirdest sea creatures on the scariest day of the year. What will you find there? Where: London Natural History Museum (Kensington underground) When: October the 30th at 12.30pm and 2.30pm. Price: Free entrance.
Phobophobia – This year’s London Bridge Experience and London Tombs offering. You’re most definitely in for a scare in their Halloween special complete with dark corners, creepy clowns, slithering snakes and gruesome ghouls. There are family friendly daytime shows and then a Burial Alive charity Ball in the evening featuring dinner, drinks and entertainment. Pumpkin Carving Competitions – Something for all the family to enjoy at Fortnum and Mason’s. The first competition is for over 3`s and the second for over 11’s. The events also include a prize for the best fancy dress, the chance to win a £1,000 Fortnum and Mason hamper and lots of pumpkins on sale in store to create your own Halloween masterpiece. Where:Fortnum and Mason’s at 181, Picadilly (Picadilly Circus underground). When: Friday October the 28th at 3pm to 8pm. Price: Free.
Ghostly Tours and Ghoulish Supper – The Old Royal Naval College, one of London’s most famous riverside landmarks, is offering a lantern-lit tour of the premises this Halloween followed by a delicious bangers and mash supper in the Painted Hall. Brave visitors will also get the opportunity to participate in some fun family activities including making your own Halloween mask or themed mobile during the day, etc.Where:Old Royal Naval College, College approach (Picadilly Circus underground) When: Friday October the 28th at 7pm to 10:30pm and hourly during the day. Pumpkino – The Cinema Museum will be screening an array of supernatural and scary cinema in their tribute to the most terrifying night of the year. Included in the ticket price is a mystery movie, a two course Halloween-themed dinner, horror film clips, free entry into the Cinema Museum, the chance to participate in their ghoulish quiz, a drink at the bar and prizes awarded for the scariest fancy dress. London Eye and the Wicked Witch of the London Sky – One of London’s most prominent attractions will be making its own little contribution to Halloween with a wicked witch-themed event. Children and adults alike will be able to enjoy stunning panoramic views of London whilst enjoying spooky tales of Wilhelmina the Witch from a costumed storyteller. This Halloween Storytelling Experience includes a 30 minute trip on the London Eye, storytelling and priority boarding, etc. Where:London Eye, on London Southbank (Waterloo underground). When: From Saturday the 22nd to Monday the 31st of October at 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. London Canal Museum Boat Trip – They will be offering a unique trip through the 192 year old Islington Tunnel at Halloween on board a specially decorated and themed narrow boat for an authentic experience. Expect some scary surprises in the darkness, maybe the odd witch on the journey, as well as sweets and a free glowstick for the kids!
