110th Harley-Davidson Anniversary Rome 2013
The walls of the coliseum in Rome are set to shake to the sound of rolling thunder when thousands of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts roll into Rome on their thundering mechanical horses. Drawn to Rome from the far flung corners of Europe they are set to lay siege to the historic centre of the eternal city as they celebrate the Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary from the 13th to the 16th of June 2013.
With events taking place in central Rome, the Vatican City and the Port of Ostia it promises to be an action packed four days with the Harley-Davidsons taking centre stage. Gleaming chrome, choppers, leather, fantastic artwork, you name it anything to do with Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be on display at the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary in Rome.
A number of events will be occurring at the Harley Village in the Port of Ostia these include concerts by Adam Ant, Bonnie Tyler and Mike and the Mechanics plus many tribute bands, bars, bike shows, dealers, exhibitions, tours of Rome with local Harley-Davidson clubs and much more. At the Foro Italico at the Stadio Olimpico enthusiasts will get the opportunity to see exhibitions by some of the world’s leading Harley-Davidson motorcycle customizers. There will also be loads of live music, bars and a chill-out area.
On Friday the 14th of June there will be a special mass at the Vatican for Harley-Davidson owners and riders and on the Sunday there will be a special bike blessing for 1,400 very lucky Harley-Davidson owners who will have the opportunity to ride their bike into St. Peter’s Square for the ceremony.
The 110th Anniversary European Celebration is a unique opportunity for all Harley lovers to feel the excitement and the emotion of riding in a group from the Port of Ostia to Central Rome on Saturday 15th of June 2013. The ground will tremble, windows will shake and old ladies will duck for cover as thousands of Harley-Davidsons rumble through the narrow streets of Rome. This June at least for Harley-Davidson enthusiasts “All roads lead to Rome”.
