How to get to Disneyland Resort Paris: where the magic awaits you!

How to get to Disneyland Paris

DisneylandParis is just a magical holiday for kids, and not so big kids as well (talking from experience) with its abundance of rides, attractions, the big Cinderella castle, the Disney characters, and the special and enchanting atmosphere that reigns over this spectacular theme park. However, our aim today is to make your sure you get there hassle free and happy so that you can enjoy this fabulous wonderland to the max whether you are visiting with your family, or enjoying an exciting holiday with friends so here are our following three suggestions comprising the easiest ways to get there so can fully enjoy your time there.

Train to Disneyland

What we believe is one of the easiest and most hassle free ways of getting to Disneyland. Trains (RER A line) heading to Disneyland from the centre of Paris run all day and there is one leaving approximately every 15 minutes, so they are quite frequent. In addition, they leave from the 5 main Paris RER train stations; Charles de Gaulle – Etoile (at the Arc de Triomphe), Auber (at the Galeries Lafayette), Châtelet Les Halles (the largest underground station in the world), Gare de Lyon (the largest train station in Paris), and Nation, so to start your journey you will need to find your way to one of these 5 stations, which you can quite easily do by travelling on the Paris underground that is excellent. It is of course a very popular destination so it is well sign posted in the train station and you can purchase a ticket from any of these train stations or metros for the modest price of 6.50 euros (return tickets are not available). Alternatively, you can use your Paris Pass Card, Navigo Pass, Orange Card, or Mobilis (Paris transportation passes) if you have one for the journey, which will take approximately 40 minutes, and you will be dropped directly off at Marne la Vallée – Chessy just outside the theme park making this the best alternative to making your way to Disneyland. Those travelling from Charles de Gaulle airport will have to catch the train to the centre of Paris prior to catching the train to Disneyland.

Shuttle bus to Disneyland

There is a return shuttle (navette VEA) going directly to Disneyland starting from Beauvais Airport, and stopping off at Charles de Gaulle Airport on the way to the theme park. There is a bus departing every 20 minutes from 8.30 to 19:45, then less frequently after this time until 20:25, and the journey usually lasts about 45 minutes. Click here for further information.

Disneyland by car

The easiest way of getting to Disneyland from Charles de Gaulle (for example) by car is by taking exit 15 (sortie 15) in the direction of Marne-la-Vallée and joining on to the A104 (La Francilienne). From there follow the directions to “Disneyland ® Paris ".After travelling for approximately 27 minutes, come off the A104 and join the A4 motorway (l’ autoroute), in the direction of “Metz-Nancy”, and then from there entrance to the theme park cark should be signposted. The theme park car park is huge (as you can imagine) so you are better off heading towards letters A to W depending on which side you came in, and if you’re not assisted by a parking attendant. At this point we really advise you to take note of your parking space number (the letter and the number) before you enter the theme park. Furthermore, parking fees include 7 euros a day for motorbikes and sidecars, 12 euros a day for cars, and 17 euros a day for camper vans. Walking from the car park, and the travelators which take you to the entrance of Disneyland will take at least 15 minutes depending on where you have parked your car.

Job done! Now that we’ve got you there, all you have to do is have fun!
