Cirque du Soleil return to Madrid and Bilbao with Kooza
Kazoo can be seen in Madrid from the 1st of March and in Bilbao from the 16th of May
Imagine under the one enormous tent acrobats and clowns, strength and fragility, harmony and chaos…circus at its most pure. All this is Kooza (box in Sanskrit), the new Cirque du Soleil spectacle.
Created and directed by David Shiner it is a return to the true essence of the circus, Kooza tells the story “of the Innocent, a clown who finds a very special gift and sets off on a journey the world around the world”. The Innocent, the Trickster, the Pickpocket and the King are just some of the characters in cirque du Soleil’s Kooza in which the themes of fear, acceptance, power and personal identity are explored.
David Shiner who began his career as a clown has returned the lead to these characters through the Innocent, a loner who is looking for his place in the world. Kooza, as is usual in Cirque du Soleil, highlights the physical demands of human performance in each acrobatic act, it is a visual explosion of colour and the exotic all accompanied by fantastic music. More than 50 professionals will dance, sing, and perform amazing feats of acrobatics on stage in Madrid and Bilbao. A show full of surprises, emotions and audacity it is sure to give you an exhilarating adrenalin rush.
