"Les Banlieues Bleues" Jazz Festival in Paris this 2011
From the 11th of March to the 8th of April 2011 the Banlieues Bleues Jazz Festival, an annual five week festival of French and international jazz, blues, R&B, and soul, amongst other musical styles will be taking places in various locations in the French capital for the entertainment of music fans and jazz fanatics alike in Paris.
The performances and concerts taking place in the 28th edition of this prestigious festival over the five week period will be in various venues in Seine-St-Denis, and not only will there be a classic combination of jazz, blues, R&B, and soul but also an entertaining selection of soul, funk, flamenco and music from the four corners of the world.

You can also purchase a festival pass for 30€. This pass allows access to 3 concerts which you must choose from a set list when purchasing the festival pass (the list is available on the festival website), which is a saving in itself, plus you can get into further venues for a reduced fee (RF1). They’ll also send you a copy of the programme which is handy, and you will get discounts to partner/related festivals taking place in Paris throughout the year. Finally, if you’re one of the first to buy one of these passes they’ll give you a free CD featuring 10 tunes selected by the magazine Vibrations.
