L’Estartit: Holidays on the Costa Brava

What to Do in L’Estartit, Costa Brava

L’Estartit is a small coastal village on the Costa Brava blessed with fine sandy beaches and coves surrounded with sheer cliffs and pine trees. It is the perfect destination for diving, with the small archipelago of the Medes Islands rich in fauna and flora less than a kilometer off the coast. In fact, it is considered to be the best natural reserve in the Western Mediterranean.

Back on dry land we recommend exploring the Montgrí Range and Aigumolls de l’Emporda, a natural marsh land rich in birdlife.

The Castle of Montgri has been watching over the L’Estartit coastline for centuries and from the top there are exceptional views of the Costa Brava. At the foot of the castle, Torroella de Montgrí conserves many medieval buildings and parts of the defensive wall.
