Avid followers of our blog will already be familiar with our hebdomadal choosing of the “apartment of the week”: the top accommodation to cross our desks in that time period. This week, with Christmas lights already on in various parts of the world, and shops already full of various overpriced Christmas tat, we decided it was time to follow suit and choose a special luxury Christmas apartment. With the British capital full of Christmas activities and atmosphere, from the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park to Christmas markets in the Southbank Centre and ice skating rinks sliding out all over the place, we can think of no better way to enjoy the festive season than by getting away from the in-laws and spending Christmas in London.
And, while we dream of shopping in Selfridges, the famed Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square, seeing a panto in the West End and all those other London Christmas traditions, we can also dream of coming back to our very own luxury apartment in London at the end of the day.
Our top apartment in London this week, the Onslow Gardens apartment, is located in the prestigious area of South Kensington, where serene, leafy avenues are interspersed with elegant old Victorian houses of the kind in which this apartment is found. It’s also the perfect place to spend Christmas, being just a short walk from Hyde Park and the extensive Winter Wonderland festivities which will take place there. You’re also very close to Harrods, for any last-minute Christmas shopping which may need to take place.
