International Golf Show in Madrid this 2010
From Friday the 26th to the 28th of November MadridGOLF’10, the 5th edition of the International Golf Show will be taking place for all you lucky golf fans on golf pavilion 6 in the IFEMA (Juan Carlos I Fairground) in Madrid. Professionals in the field and the general public will have access to all the information and products related to the world of golf, and all the professional sports bodies in the field will be attending making this an unmissable opportunity if you like golf and you’re in Madrid this winter season.
So, do you need to practise your putting? Is your teeing off slightly rusty? Or are you quite a pro and would like to show off your moves and practise your technique? Either way, if you like golf then this is the event for you.
This annual golf show aims to try and bring people closer to the world of golf and seeing that the four previous editions have been a raging success they have decided to hold the 5th edition of this exciting event this year. If this year’s event is anything like the previous years’ editions then those attending will find a wide range of activities on offer, as well as products, and services.
Thus, on pavilion 6 in the IFEMA there will be golf accessories and equipment made available to the public to buy and practise their golf technique such as clubs, caddies, and a variety of brands of electric golf buggy, as well as clothes accessories and fashion, information on where to play golf next to the Spanish countryside, and abroad, information for organising golf tournaments, products and services dedicated to health and welfare, personal trainers and courses, coaching, and an endless list of other services and companies dedicated to this relaxing sport.
Golf has always been considered an elitist sport, however the aim of this initiative is to make it accessible to everyone, the reason for which professional sports bodies within the field of golf ranging from golf schools to the national golf federations will be participating in the event. Thus, everyone will access to information on golf courses, activities, classes and clinics by dedicated professionals, and most importantly golf for children through camps.
This show has coincided with other golf events that have taken place this year making the city a reference in Europe for golf. The Madrid Masters has been celebrated this year in May, the Spanish capital is the Madrid Ladies Masters headquarters, and most importantly for public and official sports bodies, Madrid is a candidate for hosting the Ryder Cup 2018 given that it almost has 100,000 federations. Rather impressive!
So, if you would like to attend this prestigious event then you can get invitations in various locations in Madrid, which are indicated on the Madrid Golf 2010 official website in addition to further information on the show. Friday will be exclusively for professionals, but the show will be open to the public the entire weekend from 10.00 am to 20:00.
Make sure you head down to the International Golf Show held this year and take advantage of a unique opportunity to practise your golf techniques, learn all about the world of golf, and mingle with some of the top professionals in the field.
