230 Fifth Rooftop Garden NYC – On top of the Metropolitan Museum there is a very special lounge bar that is very in at the moment with the New Yorkers. The Rooftop Garden has an impressive garden terrace with views of Central Park and a good part of New York City. Palm trees, fountains, exuberant plants and a very pleasant atmosphere are on offer where you can enjoy a meal, have brunch or sit back and relax with a tasty cocktail. Where: 230, 5th Ave. When: Open every day from 4pm to 4am. They serve brunch from 11am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Beekman Beer Garden Beach Club – Situated on the banks of the Hudson River is the Beekman Beer Garden consisting of a great way of switching off and relaxing. It has ping-pong tables, pool and a lounge bar where you can enjoy a few beers, cocktails or a hot drink with some friends over the cold months. They also serve hamburgers, snacks and sausages. It comes highly recommended over the summer, however in winter they have three huge heaters with burning logs for a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Visitors can also admire fascinating views from Brooklyn Bridge. Where:North side of Pier 17, Beekman St at South St. When: Open every day from 11:30am to 3am.
JBird Lounge Bar – A speakeasy and underground style bar that served alcohol during the Prohibition period. With comfortable leather sofas beside a wood fire, the decoration will take you back. You can only access the JBird via a secret entrance and labyrinth style path that leads you through the XVI club in Times Square. It is a very small bar thus booking in advance is required. Classic cocktails and high quality strong drinks are on offer. Where: 251 W 48th St (between Broadway and Eighth Ave.). When: From Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm to 2am.
