A house with views of the Alhambra: The Queen
We start a new month; it’s Friday and now is as good a time as any to start making plans for your next trip, and while winter is upon us Granada shapes up as the promised land, a pleasant climate, good skiing, tapas and beers, flamenco, a great atmosphere and lots of things to visit.
If you need extra motivation it is almost carnival time in Granada complete with crazy costumes, loads of colour and of course riotous partying being the order of the day until giving way to the solemn Easter processions.
Our recommended apartment this week in Granada is the Queen, a welcoming house with a garden in the Albayzín neighbourhood. The Queen comfortably sleeping up to five people has two bedrooms with four single beds and a sofa bed. The layout of the house makes it perfect for a group of friends wanting to explore the ancient city of Granada without having to break the bank.
What sets this house apart from the others is the impressive views of the Alhambra. To sit in one of the garden chairs under the sun’s warming rays and contemplate the red stones of Nasrid Palace is a luxury for the senses. The house is located only a few minutes walk from the Alhambra, Sacromonte neighbourhood and other touristic zones of the city.
The white washed houses, narrow winding streets and the bohemian shops and bars of Albayzín capture the atmosphere of Granada perfectly making it the perfect place from which to explore this wonderful city.
