Rock in Rio Tickets Have Sold Out
With a line up featuring world renowned artists Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, Iron Maiden, David Guettea, Alicia Keys and Bon Jovi it comes as no surprise that tickets for one of the world’s biggest music festival Rock in Rio 2013 sold out in four hours. For seven days Rio de Janeiro will focus the attention of the music world from the 13-15 and 19-22 of September 2013.
When the gates open to the City of Rock, the huge purpose built area located on the banks of the Lagoa de Jacarepaguá, the more than 80,000 people expected daily will be able to see the more than 50 groups and singers performing acroos three stages at Rock in Rio 2013.
Appearing on the world stage will be some of the biggest names in the music industry Beyoncé, Muse, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and Iron Maiden as well as local artists. The line-up suggests that Rock in Rio 2013 has moved away from offering just rock something affirmed by festival organiser Robert Medina who said in an interview that it was not viable to have a festival of this dimension only with rock.
Sepultura, Iron Maiden and Slayer are sure to keep even the most hardcore heavy metal fan happy whilst maintaining the original essence of Rock in Rio 2013 and lovers of punk, soul, hip-hop, electronica won’t be disappointed either.
