Are you looking for the perfect souvenir or gift from Amsterdam? From typical Dutch souvenirs such as wooden clogs, tulips or Gouda cheese to stylish clothes and accessories you’ll find it all in Amsterdam. Here are a few ideas to help you find that perfect memento of your visit to Amsterdam.

Blond-The original and casual designs of Blond are famous the world over. Of all the products the most typical are the ceramic cups, plates and jars but you’ll also find clothes, patchwork bedspreads and many other colourful items. Where: Gerard Doustraat, 69. Open: Mon 12pm- 6pm, Tues-Fri 10am-6pm, Sat 10am-5pm

Sakya & Co- A really fun shop where the funky designs add a different twist to the more classic style souvenirs. You can pick up all kinds of souvenirs here including T-shirs with drawings by MC Escher, tulips in a can, aprons with typical Dutch designs, silver jewellery, porcelain and loads of other really cool and different souvenirs. Where: Stromarkt, 5 Open: Everyday, except Tuesday ,11am-6pm, Thursday until 7pm.

Hed Oud-Hollandsch Snoepwinkeltje- An old style sweet shop, jars full of boiled sweets, licorice and typical Dutch treats fill the shelves. A lot of the sweets are sugar free making them perfect for diabetics. It goes without saying the children will love this shop and especially when they are handed a paper cone full of sweets. Where: Egelantiersdwarsstraat, 2. Open: Tues-Sat 11am-6:30pm, Sun: 12pm-5pm, Mon: Closed

Atelier het Sieraad-In this jewelers, Inez Nieman and Maaile van Doorn offer unique and original handmade designs created from silver, gold, platinum, diamonds, pearls and semi precious stones. A visit to the workshop is obligatory to see how they design and make the jewels. Where: 3e Weteringdwaarsstraat 8c. Open: Wed-Sat 11am-5pm.

Bloemenmarkt- The flower market is the place to buy flowers, seeds and tulip bulbs as well as other varieties. Aside from flowers you can also find typical souvenirs like Delft ceramic goods. Where: Singel t.o 508 Reguliersdawarsstraat Open: Mon-Sat 9am-5:30pm, Sun 11am-5:30pm.
