If you liked the Magic Fountain in Barcelona then this nocturnal water show is definitely going to be up your street. The Serenade and Fountains Night Show taking place in the beautiful Palace of Versailles, Paris transforms the Royal Garden of Louis XIV into a land of astonishing sights and sounds.
MUSICAL SERENADE IN THE HALL OF MIRRORS
Just before the nocturnal water shows, visitors can relive the flamboyant days of King Louis XIV himself and visit his apartments accompanied by the sound of music. In addition, L’ Éclat des Muses- Cie Christine Bayle Baroque musicians and dancers await you in the Hall of Mirrors for a grand French ball. They invite you to cross the Palace of Versailles as the sun sets and dance under the gold light reflecting across the Hall of Mirrors.
THE FOUNTAIN NIGHT SHOW
Visitors will discover a world of colourfully illuminated groves and can expect lighting and scenographic artists taking over the gardens. Thousands of lights and some astonishing installations will be used to create some amazing effects including the ghostly wreck of Louis XIV’s flagship, the Soleil Royal, which spectators will witness re-emerge from the waves Laser beams will streak the night sky and the spectacular giant Enceladus Fountain, the Tapis Vert will be engulfed in monumental flames and there will be a stunning firework display that, against the backdrop of the Grand Canal, will bring to a close this mysterious evening wonderfully enhanced by French baroque masterpieces.
