The Shopping Night Barcelona 2012
Starting to vaguely think you should start thinking about Christmas shopping? Fortunately, this Thursday 22nd of November in Barcelona you’ll have a good excuse to do so – the Barcelona Shopping Night.
During Barcelona Shopping Night 2012, all the shops on the Passeig de Gràcia, one of the city’s swankiest shopping streets, will be open until 1 am; giving you the chance to browse to your heart’s content and do your bit for the Spanish economy. After its success in the past two years, 2012 will be the Barcelona Shopping Night’s third edition.
Several shops will also be offering discounts and other activities. Spanish chain Mango, for example, will be offering free makeovers, and others such as Oysho, Stradivarius, Swarovski, Sisley and Desigual will be offering clients free cocktails, hot chocolates and photoshoots. For a complete list of the activities and discounts that will be on offer, you can check out Shopping Night Barcelona’s official website.
Barcelona’s Christmas lights and ice rink
At 6 pm on the same day, Barcelona’s Christmas lights will also be switched on by the Mayor of Barcelona, and the ever-popular ice rink opened once more in the Plaça de Catalunya (€6 for half an hour’s skating; €9 for one hour), meaning that even non-shopaholics will have plenty of activities to take part in.
Whether you’re prefer to enjoy it on ice, in the glitzy shops of the Passeig de Gràcia or watching the soft glow of the Christmas lights, this Thursday is sure to sparkle like no other as the city is lit up for Shopping Night Barcelona 2012. So get your credit cards at the ready, get out and get ready to go!
