Paris, the city of love. An unrivalled destination for celebrating Valentine’s Day and the best time to discover the beauty of this charming city. Would you like to surprise your partner this year with something special? Well, we can think of nothing better than taking a break from our usual routine and escaping to one of the most romantic cities in the world.
There are many things to in Paris, the reason for which it is a favourite amongst tourists. Its charming streets, shops, museums, Eiffel Tower and other tourist attractions are already a pleasure for the senses. However, we would like to make some romantic suggestions for Valentine’s Day in Paris this year.
“MUR DES JE T’AIME” IN PARIS
The I love you, the wall is one of the many interesting things in Paris. An authentic wall of love, designed by Frédéric Baron on 40m2 of glazed tiles, thanks to which you can find out how to say “I love you” in more than 300 languages. The “Mur des je t’aime” is surrounded by a little garden, in the Parque des Abbesses, in Montmartre, a very appropriate place to visit on Valentine’s Day.
LUXEMBOURG GARDENS
They comprise a beautiful garden in the very heart of Paris where you can enjoy a pleasant walk hand in hand with your partner. These neoclassical style gardens were designed in 1615 by order of María de Médicis. Luxembourg Palace, which houses the French senate, can also be found there. The gardens are large, and scattered with flowers and sculptures, with numerous corners and romantic little paths far away from the noise of the city.
THE SWEET SIDE OF PARIS
To get your strength back in a somewhat sweeter way, there is nothing better than trying some traditional French pastries. There are many small and charming shops where you can enjoy a tarte tatin or delicious macaron. We recommend that you head down to the patisserie Pain de Sucre in the Marais district and the chocolaterie de Jacques Genin that has a charming little tearoom where you can enjoy some French sweet treats with your loved one.
Here are a few more ideas that you can share with your partner for a perfect Valentine’s Day in Paris.
