Valencia Open 500 Tennis Tournament
The City of Arts and Science in Valencia will again play host to one of Spain’s most important tennis tournaments, the Valencia Open 500. Bringing together some of the world’s best players the tournament will take place from the 19th to the 27th of October 2013.
Number one seed for the Valencia Open 500 is local, David Ferrer, who will be looking to lift the trophy for the third time. He will face stiff competition from other Spanish players Almagro, Robredo and Lopez whilst German Tommy Hass, making his first appearance in the tournament, will be looking to come away with the prize.
In total there will be 32 players competing in the Individual category and 16 doubles pairs. There will also be a wheelchair tennis tournament featuring the best players is Spain.
Centre court will be installed in the spectacular Agora building with seating capacity for 6,300 people. The area around centre court will be taken over by the Fun Park, an area where the public has the opportunity to mingle with players and sponsors, participate in activities, watch exhibitions, and much more.
