XV Jerez Flamenco Festival in Cadiz this 2011
From the 15th to the 12th of March one of the most prestigious national flamenco festivals will be taking place in the southern city of Jerez de la Frontera. Comprising the 5th largest city in Andalusia, Jerez has a large range of activities and events on the cards, such as the Motorcycle Grand Prix or Formula 1, located at a short distance away from Cadiz, next to the Atlantic Ocean.
The XV Jerez Festival has an extensive programme of performances featuring the cream of the flamenco world. They will take place in three different locations in the city such as the Villamarta Theatre, the Compañia cultural centre, the Paúl concert halls, the Villavicencio Palace, the Andalusian Flamenco Centre in Jerez, and the La Granja Social Centre with performances by artists such as La Farruca, Santiago Lara Trío, the Shoji Kojima Flamenco Ballet, Jesús Fernández, Miguel Ortega, and the Rubén Olmo Dance Company, amongst many others.
In addition, the XV Jerez Festival has a large range of courses lined up which will be lead by the finest professionals in the flamenco world so we can learn about this fascinating and typically Andalusian art. Thus, you will be able to learn all kinds of dance styles and techniques including the siguiriya (form of flamenco music), tango flamenco, and the bulerías de Jerez (typical Jerez flamenco song), amongst others. Classes will be held by teachers such as Inmaculada Aguilar, Angelita Gómez, Leonor Leal, Javier La Torre, and Manuel Liñán, etc.
You can also enjoy taking part in the diverse workshops on all kinds of flamenco styles and techniques.

Villamarta Theatre Pass, minimum of 8 shows to choose from each one of the groups included in the Pass (Group A,B,C,or D).
The Baile Pass, minimum of 4 shows to choose from each one of the following cycles: CON NOMBRE PROPIO, SOLOS EN COMPAÑÍA, LOS NOVÍSIMOS/LAS NOVÍSIMAS and LAS VIVENCIAS.
The Cante and Toque Pass, minimum of 4 shows to choose from each one of the cycles: DE LA FRONTERA, LOS CONCIERTOS DE PALACIO.

Ticket office opening hours: Friday from 10.30am to 13.30pm and from 5pm to 8pm, Saturday from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
